Account Executive
Observability / AI Infrastructure
$300k OTE + equity
Remote, United States
I'm running a search for a fast-growing, open-source observability company to hire an Account Executive. The company has built a unified observability platform for logs, metrics, traces, and LLM workloads, running as a single binary on an S3-native architecture that cuts storage costs by up to 140x. It is already used by over 6,000 organisations, including many of the Fortune 100, and is backed by Tier 1 VCs.
What you'll be responsible for
- Owning full-cycle sales, from first conversation through to close, into platform engineering, DevOps, and SRE teams
- Converting a large open-source user base into paid revenue, landing new logos and expanding existing ones
- Selling technically to engineering buyers who care about architecture, cost, and performance
- Building your own pipeline in a category where legacy platforms are expensive, fragmented, and ripe for displacement
- Working closely with founders and product to feed customer requirements back into the roadmap
- Helping shape the sales motion as one of the early commercial hires post Series A
What I'm looking for
- 3+ years closing SaaS, ideally in observability, monitoring, data infrastructure, or developer tooling
- A track record of consistent quota attainment you can point to
- Experience selling to technical buyers, comfortable going deep on architecture and cost of ownership
- A background selling open-source or product-led commercial motions is a strong plus
- Comfortable in an early-stage, fast-moving environment where the role and the playbook are still being built
- Based remotely in the US, able to cover a national territory
Why this role
- Over 6,000 organisations already on the platform, including many of the Fortune 100, so you're selling into warm demand, not cold ground
- 18,000+ GitHub stars and a genuine open-source community feeding the top of the funnel
- 140x lower storage costs than legacy platforms gives you a clear, quantifiable wedge against Datadog, Splunk, and the ELK stack
- An early commercial seat with room to grow as the company scales
